911 Carrera (996) Wheels, tires, suspension alignment 44 12 01 Checking disc wheels Checking the radial and lateral run out Note I The measuring points for radial and lateral Use a tyre measuringgaug~ -e.g. VA.G.1435- runout on the inside of the wheel are given to measure wheels without tYres and wheels on the following drawing (dimension"a"), with tyres. Maximum permissible radial runout and lateral runout of the light alloy wheels = 0.7 mm. Maximum permissible radial runout and lateral runout of the wheel with tyre = 1.25 mm. Values less than 1.0 mm -better around 0.5 mm -are desirable. Also see Page 44-17/44-18.
