System description For the 996 Cabriolet, a fully automatic convertible-topdrive has been developed. The opening and closing processes are fully automatic. Pressing the rocker switch or operating the handheldtransmitter activates the control module and the preselected motion is executed by the drive elements. Various micro-switchesand potentiometers ensure that these processes take place smoothly. When the button is released or the comfort opening/closing function interrupted using the handheldtransmitter, the motion sequence is halted immediately.
