Manual transmission -Actuation, ass. housing 911 Carrera (996) Installation Note The shift mechanismis designed so that installa- tion and adjustmentare a single work step. Preconditionsfor this are: Special tool 9619 must be fitted to fix the shiftlever. The transmission must be in neutral. 1. Install the shift console and tighten the fasten- ing nuts with 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.). 2. Fastenshift and selectorcableson the shift console: 1 -Selector cable (blue) 603-1-96 Fit support bracket sleeves (5) in the correct 2 -Shift cable (black) 3 -Adjuster open position. 4 -Adjuster closed It must be possible to hear and feel them en- 5 -Support bracket gage. 3. Clipin shiftconsolecover The locking sleeves must move to the end position automatically. 5.
