Note
The sealing rings can also be replaced with the
transmission installed.
Removal
1. Remove right halfshaftflange. To do this,
place a chisel or spacer "A"under the
halfshaftflange and pullout the halfshaft
flange by turning the screw "B".

2. Lever out sealing ring using a suitabletool.

Note
Pull out left halfshaftflange by screwing in the
hexagon-headbolts "A" on alternate sides. The
bolts must be supported on the rib reinforce-
ments of the cover (see Figure).
