No. Procedure Instructions 1 Separate the spot-weldedjoint on Separatethe spot-weldedjoint betwe~nthe side section the B-pillar and the inside of the side section with the spotweld cutter. Cut off the lower side member with the body saw so that the spare body part (side section) OVjrlapS the lower side member by approx. 60 mm. 2 Separate the spot-weldedjoint on Separatethe spot-weldedjoint between the side section the lower side member and and the lower side member or wheel ~ousingwith the the wheel housing spotweld cutter. I 3 Separate the spot-weldedjoint in Separate the spot-weldedjoint between the water channel the water channel and the inside of the side section with the spotweld cutter. 4 Separate the shieldinggas welds Cut through the shielding gas weld of the overlapping and the spot-weldingjoint cross member at the top using a parting grinder. Cut to the cross member through the overlap on the lower connfction to the side section with the parting grinder. Separatethe spot-weldedjoint from the rear sealing channelto the gusset plate with the s~otweld cutter. 5 Separate the spot-weldedjoint on Separate the spot-weldedjoint between the light housing the light housing and the inside of the side section and the rear transverse lock panel connectionwith the spotweld cutter. 6 Removeside section The side section is sealed from the lig~t housingto the rear centre panel connection in the factory using an expandedsealant.This seal is destroyed when replacing the side section and must be replace~. 53 55 55 Replacing side section -Cabriolet 53 -25 Printed in Germany -33, 1999 9965323
