Danger of injury if side airbag units in the door are triggered while ignition key is not removed .Always remove ignition key during body work, and do not commence adjustment work until a waiting period of at least 1 minute has elapsed! .When working on the airbag system and during straightening work in the cont~xt of body repairs, the ground strap must be disconnected! Disconnectingthe electrical plug connection Unscrewthe Torx screw (T20) -A- push plug up by approx. 3 mm and then pull the w ole plug connection out of the A-pillar. Attention: Locking tabs in the plu can break off! Pull out locking element at the bo om part of the plug con- nection and disconnectthe plug c nnection -8-. 2 Releasingdoor brake UnscrewTorx screw on the door rake. 3 Undoinglocking screw Insert special tool => No.9666; R p. Gr. 2.4; (angle screw- as of model year 2001 driver)into the upper door hinge nd counter.
