PSM 05 911 Turbo (996)45 Work instruction Display OK If not OK 3 Check signal lead of the ♦Switch off ignition > 500 kΩ Short circuit to booster pump for short ⇒ Step 4 ground between ♦Measure resistance between circuit to ground PSM control mod- PSM control module plug pin 4 ule plug pin 4 and and ground pin 1 of PSM booster pump plug → End 4 Check signal lead of the ♦Switch on ignition < 0.3 V Short circuit to volt- booster pump for short ⇒ Step 5 age between PSM ♦Measure voltage between PSM circuit to voltage control module plug control module plug pin 3 and pin 3 and pin 2 of ground PSM booster pump plug → End 5 Check signal lead of the ♦Switch off ignition > 500 kΩ Short circuit to booster pump for short ⇒ Step 6 ground between ♦Measure resistance between circuit to ground PSM control mod- PSM control module plug pin 3 ule plug pin 3 and and ground pin 2 of PSM booster pump plug → End 6 Check activation of the ♦Connect the PSM control mod- > 11 V PSM hydraulic unit booster with the PST2 ule plug ⇒ Step 7 faulty → End ♦Pull off the PSM booster pump plug ♦Switch on ignition ♦Diagnostic tester: start drive link test on booster pump ♦Measure voltage between pin 1 of PSM booster pump plug and pin 2 of PSM booster pump plug 7 Booster pump faulty → End 45-31 page 2 4503 Fault code 4480 4480ps05 Printed in Germany – 4, 2001
