Diagnostic conditions
• Ignition on
Possible cause of fault
♦Short circuit to B+/ground or open circuit in the wiring between
the passenger side airbag unit and the airbag triggering unit
♦Passenger’s side airbag faulty
♦Triggering unit for airbag faulty
Affected terminals
Terminals 18 and 19
Diagnosis/troubleshooting
The following illustration illustrates how the plug connection
is disconnected from the side airbag.
