Seat memory S02; S03; 911 Turbo (996)72 Work instruction Display OK If not OK 5 Check 5 V supply lead ♦Switch on ignition. 0 V Repair wiring har- for short to B+ Step 6 ness. ♦Measure voltage on 'carrier → End with gear unit' between pin 5 and ground. 6 Check 5 V supply lead ♦Switch off ignition. < 5 Ω Repair wiring har- for open circuit Step 12 ness. ♦Measure resistance between → End pin 5 of mirror plug on control module and pin 5 of 'carrier with gear unit'. 7 Check ground lead for ♦Switch off ignition. < 5 Ω Repair wiring har- open circuit Step 12 ness. ♦Pull off mirror plug on control → End module. ♦Measure resistance between pin 4 of mirror plug and pin 7 of plug on 'carrier with gear unit'. 8 Check signal lead for ♦Switch off ignition. ∞ Ω Repair wiring har- short circuit to ground Step 9 ness. ♦Pull plug off the control mod- → End ule. ♦Measure resistance between plug on 'carrier with gear unit' pin 1 and ground. ♦Measure resistance between pins 1 and 7 of plug on 'carrier with gear unit'. 9 Check signal lead for ♦Switch on ignition. 0 V Repair wiring har- short circuit to B+ Step 10 ness. ♦Measure voltage between plug → End on 'carrier with gear unit' pin 1 and ground. 10 Check signal lead for ♦Switch off ignition. < 5 Ω Repair wiring har- open circuit Step 12 ness. ♦Measure resistance between → End pin 1 of plug on carrier with gear unit and pin 10 of mirror plug on control module. ♦Measure resistance between pin 5 of plug on 'carrier with gear unit' and pin 10 of mirror plug on control module. 11 ♦Replace 'carrier with gear unit' → End 12 ♦Replace control module → End 72-29 page 2 7298 Fault code 25 25xxxS02 Printed in Germany – 42, 2003
