are you talking about the wire that goes from the alternator to the starter? If so.. I just replaced this wire and I have the part # its 996 607 019 01 In my AOS replacement thread I came across a severly corroded wire. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...adventure.html
Repair or replace the starter
When you say you replaced the cable, do you mean the starter/alternator cable? Part no 996-607-019-01? When everything is new, the voltmeter should read ~14 and drop to 13.5v when all the fans turn on. If you replaced that cable, then I have some other DIY tricks to see if you have a ground issue.
