I recently had this same issue with the system sensing the door was still open...replaced the switch, and didn't fix it...ended up being the immobilizer control unit that failed...replaced that (and had to get 2 new key heads and reprogram everything) and the issue was resolved.
How can I troubleshout an electrical alarm problem ? should I ?unresolved
Finally got the car back from Porsche now. The problem with the alarm was something as simple as a fuse! The fuse was apparently whole enough to not trigger any error codes, but burned enough to trigger the alarm somehow. So after replacing it and clearing codes, the car is drive able again. They also coded the new key to the car so now that also works perfectly, but the old key dues still not work. It looks fine, and the but

ways to make work again to no avail). Key in door does not make passenger door/gas lock function. Was able to use friends Autologic machine to run through the “alarm” system functions and thought it might be the drivers door lock screwing things up with the sensor maybe being bad as showed 61 “center locking limit unlock position not reached” and 47 “central locking synchronization”. Could make passenger door lock function with autologic. So replaced drivers door lock hoping to cure issue, nope did not fix….. then had i

See if the carpet is wet under the drivers seat. This erratic behavior is most lilely because the immobilizer has issues. I would just pack it up with a key and dme and send it all to ecudoctors for their $99 diagnostic check. I chased my tail for about 3 months and it was some circuit board cracks they were able to fix.

This started on Sunday evening, when I heard the alarm on my car ('04 C4S Cab) going off. Turned it off and left it unlocked. Monday I scanned the car with Durametric and didn't see any faults. Cleared anyway, and locked it. Alarm went for a repeat. After repairing the VAS 6154 adapter (USB port broke off), I scanned the car tonight to see the following faults: 33 - Passenger compartment monitoring sensor, long

k the car, the horn honks (even though I only pressed the remote once). I thought a horn honk indicates the motion sensor is turned off? Do I need to reset the alarm or something?

99661823703Hello, Question about the alarm sirens on 996s. The siren in my 2004 car is part number 996.618.237.03. I want to get a replacement siren, but the part numbers that I am finding are 996.618.237.01. Both appear to have the same casings. So, I need to establish if part number .03 is the same as part number .01. Any ideas please? Thank you, Peter

99761826500Tilt Sensor If you search the European parts catalog for the alarm system you will find part number 997 618 265 00 , the control unit tilt sensor. It is part of the option I536 - Alarm unit and Tilt Sensor. In the USA parts catalog the unit is still shown on the diagram but as it is not a USA option the part number for this unit is not listed. For those guys in the UK I believe you may be able to change the alarm settings
