I replace all six coils, which all had similar cracking leading down to the boots, and no more issues starting the car. Problem solved. Thanks for the input.

Had the same thing but replacing my plugs and coils didn't fix it. Now after a torrential down pour it's much worse. Did you fix your issue?

aced the lifters as I was getting a bit of cold start noise ( it's not bore score) and thought I'd been careful so my quest is what could it be , I've done the coil packs and it didn't help so next I'm thinking , exhaust sensors, smoke test if I buy a machine and maybe check the timing as I've had the cams out ? Was thinking do the oxygen sensors in the exhaust first as I have them or will this not fix it ? Any help much appreciated, oh I don't have a durametric just a simple code reader, is it worth getting one ? Mone

About 2 years ago, I put Feal coilovers on my '02 C4S and had an independent Porsche specialist align and corner balance the car at that time. A few months ago, I noticed that the rear tires were severely worn on the inside and required replacement after only ~5-6,000 miles on them. (Front tires did not show uneven wear and appear to be fine.) I only drive the car 1-2,000 miles each year, so

I presprayed with an engine degreaser and let sit overnight before I cleaned with the carb cleaner. It looks much better. All of the coil packs were fine and had no cracks. Some people have noted it helps to remove the muffflers. ABSOLUTELY. I don't see how you can do this job otherwise. At least not with normal sized hands. Plus I didn't w

99760210702Wow...just wow! Hope any damage is limited to the wiring and not the DME/ECU. That's some serious arching. Any brand or make on those ebay coils so others can avoid? Just replaced all my coil packs with the upgraded OE 997 602 107 02 for $259.06. From appearances, seems like something to go OE.

99760210700I recently had to replace a coil and used part number 997 602 104 04. I know you are planning to buy 997 602 107 00 coils. (The difference may be that the coil is different for the S than for the base.) If they are similar to the one I bought, they are slightly larger than the coils that were originally on the car. You won't be able to re-use the fasteners that were used with the original

99760210200Anyone know what the original ignition coil part number was supplied by factory on 2004 C2? I just pulled off Beru 997 602 102 00 and was debating on changing them to new (no problems, just "while I'm there"). I don't know if they have ever been replaced before or not. I dropped the engine and trans last weekend so working down my to do list.

99660210700Cylinder 3. I recently put in 6 new Beru 14 FGR-6 KQU Spark plugs when I had the engine out. As soon as this misfire started happening I just replaced all the coil packs because the car was still on the OEM Set, all the Part Numbers on the coils were 996 602 107 00 I had recently replaced 2 coil packs before due to me thinking I had 2 bad coil packs on Cylinders 1 and 2. Those ended up not being bad so I used one of my old coil packs on Cylinder 3 and that worked for a day or so then crapped out. So then I just replac
