ndow regulator went (I had the issue of the window not dropping last year), so I ordered the the regulator and decided seeing I can't drive it, to start on the spark plug change. I started on the passenger side and was able to get 2 of the three done, having issues getting the tube off the last one (toward the back). I'm going to go back in tonight. So far not to bad of a job, it's just not fun laying on your back working, but still having fun. Zenski

03. This was weird as I couldn't understand why I get a p0300 (multiple cylinder misfires) if the misfire is only on a single cylinder. I tried the usual, like spark plug and coil on cylinder #3 but that didn't fix it. Again, the misfire was intermittent, can go several hundred miles before it occurred. And when it did occur it was brief. Then I decided that perhaps it is an intake lifter on cylinder 3. There have been many examples here of a stuck intake lifter causing intermittent misfires. I ended up replacing all 6 intak

If there was coolant getting into a cylinder, Ive always been told that particular spark plug would be a lot cleaner than the rest, as in steam cleaned. Are you able to do a leak down or compression test? I ran a stock tune on my 4.0 for a while and it ran fine. Any tapping sounds or indications that it runs on 5 cylinders at idle? Weak spring, stuck valve/lifter? Hopefully the coolant leak is a separate issue (cracked tank?).

en. When you peek under the car or look in the engine compartment it looks like 10 lbs of Sh*t stuffed in a 5 lb sack!! But I am not impressed with this stupid spark plug tube. They had to know when they concocted this design it would leak. I am in the process of doing the 60K service on my 1999 C2 Cab which includes replacement of the spark plugs. Because I read on Renntech that the spark plug tubes often leak and possibly crack I also ordered 6 new tubes and all new seals. I have only done the passenger side, and discovere

Seems like everyone is doing this job now that Spring is here! Last night I finally finished replacing my spark plugs and wow, I'm pretty proud of myself because this was the most intensive job I've done on my car so far...The car is a 2002 C2 Cabrio so it might be different for other cars. Let me preface by saying that I don't consider myself to be an expert mechanic by any means. Although my father owns an auto shop I didn't quite inherit that skill so this task was dau

99917022390I'm planning on removing my mufflers in a week or so to do the Gundo Hack. I figure while I have the mufflers out, I should take the opportunity to change the spark plugs as well. The car has 46k on it. I'm doing some research, and there's OEM by Bosch and NGKs as well. Any comments on either or? Or perhaps another plug model recommendation? (are they pre-gapped?) The part number I have for the Bosch is: FGR-5-KQE0 and the Posrche p/n is: 999-170-223-90-M14 Also, the '02+ don't need the spark plug tubes correct? Thanks!
