No adjusting on that. The window regulator is what determines the drop, since the microswitch is actually working. Slop in the window regulator cable causes the window not to drop enough. Replace window regulator and the problem is fixed.

Another window drop issue.reported fixed

Hi Josh, hope you are still around. I am attempting to repair my regulator for the passenger side window in my 09 C2S Cab. I removed the top two bolts but the one at the bottom, it has been referenced as #9, spins when attaching a socket to this bolt. Apparently the bolt is not fixed as I dropped one of the top ones into the frame bottom while moving the regulator frame around. I don't see anyway to put a grip on the bolt in order

DIY: Rear Window Regulator Repairunresolved

Only idea I have is the shop didn't fix things. The cable may not have been the only problem. When I had the regulators replaced (at separate times) in my 2002 Boxster the cables were intact but the mechanism was just worn out. The entire regulator was replaced. Window operation has been fine ever since. Take the car back to the shop and let the shop know what happened.

and microswitch but it did not fix. Local mechanic rolled window down halfway and pulled upwards on glass which moved up fairly easily. He said this showed the regulator needed changed. I put a new one in and voila!, it was fixed.

Window not coming down when opening the doorunresolved

There are 2 solutions to this issue: 1 Replace the window regulator with a new one. The regulator costs about $190, and takes a little over 2 hours to R&R going at a leisurely pace. 2. Adjust the Bowden Tube on the existing regulator to take up the slack on the cable. This method only costs the 2 or less hours needed to take off the door panel to get to the regulator. The Bowden tube is the white plastic tube that the regul

Window doesnt drop when door opensuggestion

Happy Friday, folks. Last weekend I swapped out the window regulator and the good news is the window goes up and down without making noise. The bad news is when I was cleaning the window, the tape moved around and I'm left adjusting the window which has proven to be annoying. I have a good even gap between the window and the B-pillar, but it could stand to be raised another 1-2mm to be nice and tight. The issue I'm running i

Hi guys, we recently developed new URO Premium rear Window Regulators 996 543 015 06 and 996 543 016 06 for the 1996-2005 996 convertible, and would like to do a test fit. As you probably know, the Genuine Porsche units are extremely expensive, so aftermarket units will be a welcome addition to the Pelican catalog. If anyone has a failing regulator(s) and would like a pair of free rear URO regulators in return for lending us

...and by fun, I mean frustration! All of the documentation I could find online shows 996.542.076.04 as the correct part # for the passenger side regulator on my '02 TT Coupe. So I bought this OEM Porsche part When I removed the old regulator. It has a different part number. Similar, but different: 996.542.016.04 I went ahead and installed the 996.542.076.04 regulator, but the window won't go all the way down into the door. Is this normal? The driver's window drops down all the way so there is nothing visible.
