Hello, hoping someone can help. This is a 1999 911 with the HiFi Sound Option Was trying to uninstall an Alpine INE-W960 and install a Sadocom Applecar play unit. Am at a point now where the car won't crank with the old unit back in and hooked up as it was. Possible immobilizer issue or dead battery (although it is reading 12V)? The previous owner had a "Parking Brake" wire marked Yellow Blue in the diagram below (Picture 1 - coming from back of Alpine unit connector) connected to an Orange Wire with White Stripe (second picture) going somewhere in the dash. Picture 1: Picture 2 (Orange Wire White Stripe): Does anyone know where this wire goes and what it connects to? I believe on the Alpine unit the parking brake wire is used to signal that the car is stopped and DVD movies can play. The other issue that I had was getting the Sodocom unit to power up at all. I didn't de-pin the connector but this is how it should line up on the Car's main power connector: My car also has a yellow small plug which should be for my speaker connections, it is this piece here in this pic: The Sodocom unit has these connections set up: So in summary: 1) When trying to install the new Sodocom unit, it would not power ON. Perhaps not getting Acc power? 2) Orange Wire with White Stripe not sure where it goes, anyone know what this may be? 3) Reverted back to Alpine unit and plugged in as it was, but car will not crank. Any ideas and which fuses to check or maybe the immobilizer kicked in? Much thanks in advance

Could the Orange Wire with White Stripe (pic 2 above) be a antitheft alarm signal? So once I disconnected it, it tripped something and doesn't allow the car to start? Saw a video on youtube that potentially identified it (below). However this is for a 2002 Tiptronic Car Other suggestions online point to the ignition switch or starter relay. When I turn ignition on, I get power to all windows, fan, wipers, etc. Just the car doesn't crank at all. Starter relay is behind the back seats apparently, any way to test it? Any suggestions would be welcomed
7.5A Fuse in Position E1 tripped causing the no start condition. Replaced and was able to start the car. Still not sure of what the orange wire with white stripe is but may take apart the center console and see if it traces back to the parking brake.
How did you solve the radio no power on issue, i have the same problem 99 996 hi-fi
