Are there any members that can give me a good idea of the residual value when selling an equally equiped 911 vs a 911S? I can definitely justify getting a 2017 base 911 vs a 911S when I calculate a price difference of around $12,000 but if the 911S would command a higher percent resale value, I would consider biting the bullet and ordering a 911S.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Cars.com throws a lot of 991 ads at me, and just off the top of my head, it seems there is a $10k premium for an S that's 3 years old. For me, the choice was simple. I had to have the extra power, bigger brakes, 20" rims, wider tires, lower stance. And those red brake calipers too. I have always been an S loving guy. To me, the whole pkg difference is huge. U get more to enjoy with the S and u get most of the S cost premium back when u later trade or sell it.

Better get the Turbo S. It is rare and will hold its value. Seriously, better to buy what you will drive and enjoy. Even if it is turbo S. I saw a gorgeous Turbo convertible in Miami blue for 187k at the local dealer on Friday. https://porschenashua.com/inventory...ventory/Porsche+911+Turbo+Cabriolet+Nashua+New+Hampshire+2017+Miami+Blue+674783
