I am looking at a 2009 911 with PDK. How do I know if it is a 997.1 or 997.2. If it has PDK is that a 997.2? Thanks in advance.

997.2 are 2009 and up. PDK was introduced with that model, so having a PDK would be one of the more obvious differences. The VIN will definitel tell you the model year, you can plug the number into an online decoder and find all kinds of info. good luck!

Tail lights are different. 997.2 has a dip down on the underside. 997.1 are straight along the bottom.Google images will be your friend here. Also the sump will appear different.They are entirely different motors after all. No confusing the two.
