Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Here is an article in Autoweek about Porsche considering US and China production to ramp up global sales: Porsche considers North America, China production to grow sales - AutoWeek Magazine I hope they get this right. Quality is hard and expensive to replicate.

POST 2Original post

I thought this line was interesting... " Mueller said he thought the number may be too small. With new models such as the Cajun, which is due in 2013, as well as a possible "baby Porsche" roadster and a targa version of the Cayman, he sees an annual sales potential of 200,000 for the brand by 2018." Cayman Targa you say?

POST 4Original post

Perhaps Porsche is still negotiating for additional dealership licenses in China and this is part of their strategy. VW is very well established in China and has been for years - back in the early 90's already many Chinese taxis were Passats - so they know the market. One wonders how soon this talk of drastically higher sales numbers, and multiple new models, will begin to drive away enthusiasts who place value on exclusivity.
