I didn't think about posting this at the time as I was so PI**ED off but I've just re-visited the site and seen that a few people have posted the same notice. I bought the car from Autobahn in Coventry in September 08 and so only had it for about two months. The car is Lapis Blue with a light grey interior, only 17k miles on the clock and was stolen from the driveway following a burglary where they BA*TARDS broke in searched for the key and fled whilst the neighbor watched from across the road. Registration KW02 DFO The car was apparently spotted by the police the same evening and they gave chase (Chelmsley Wood / Castle Bromwich area of Birmingham) unfortunately they couldn't keep up and the car hasn't been seen since. The thieves have only one key but I'd left the service history book and Porsche folder with bills etc in the car, I know I'm a plonker for doing this! As a reminder for all my insurance want a copy of the service history and porsche don't have a main computer with everything listed back to 2002, so with me being the third owner I'm having to contact the previous owners and ask them where the car was serviced before contacting the relevant garage(s) for copy invoices, a right palaver I can tell you. Anyway if you spot a car the looks suspicious or are offered parts from a Lapis Blue '02 996TT then olease let me or the police at Solihull station know. Thanks for reading... :very sad: :very sad: :very sad:

Really sorry to hear this. Lapis is not a common colour on the TT so should be easily recognisable, Fingers crossed
Good luck with getting your car back. IMO opinion if you have a car that's desirable it is always best to fit with tracker or the very least an immobilser (other than the one activated with the key). I know for you it's too late but for others reading this thread it's a word of advice - a £40,000 car sitting on a driveway is tempting!
Thieving a$$hole w@nker scumshites of the earth Very sorry to hear of your woes joolsdevillan. I do hope whoever took your car are hung by their balls. They deserve no less. ~ Maxie
Very sorry to hear that....Scum who do that really get my goat! and the rest of the farm yard!!!!! :x :x :x :gunfire: People work hard to earn their money, and gits like that just take! This morning, saw my neightbours car (3 series) on bricks, front two alloys had bee nicked! only last week a mates 5 Series had his front bumpers with parking sensors and wing mirror cover stolen! Seems like there more of a rise is car crime! :wtf:
Indeed, rise in car crime and rise in car fraud. Seems that in these hard times people think it is justified to break the law to keep afloat.
Bad bad news mate...hope you get it back
i'll keep my eyes open ad get my lads to do the same, its our neck of the woods... (NEC)
Sorry to hear this - I was in Solihull on sat at my friends house and she told me that her next door neighbour, a porsche owner, had confronted some thieves who had broken into his house to get the keys... luckily they fled, but she had had a similar experience with thieves trying to find the keys for her vw in her house... strange really as its a relatively nice area, but i guess theres no accounting for scum wherever you live.
Sounds like Solihull and the surrounding area is being targeted by this scum! I think my biggest mistake was leaving it on the drive for 9 days solid and obviously not putting tracker on her. The strange thing is that I was expecting insurers to say that it must have tracker but they weren't bothered when I took the policy out and so I thought I'd leave it, more excessive expense and all that!.... Big mistake!
Bad news! Hope you get this sorted. My street had a spate of very similar burglaries a few weeks ago. Luckily for my neighbour across the street, he had a flat battery when the scrotes tried to make off with his. Apparently, on this occasion, the people targeted on my street were all cat owners, leaving keys in their cat-flat equipped back doors !
Gutting news. Unfortunately it's one that I'll be very surprised will end happily. High end car thefts are usually made to order for export or done for car parts and sold abroad in some dodgy countries. Not for a bit of a jolly round town and then parked up somewhere. No need to blame yourself, you didn't steal the car. I remember as a kid when windows were left open and doors unlocked on cars. As sentencing for car criminals is very small the reward/risk ratio for a criminal are pretty big. Steal a car and sell it for £20k. Say after about 5 thefts you get caught, you'll get 3-6 months. Effectively for 3-6 months work (in jail) you have earned £100k.
Very sorry to hear this, I didn't know what it was like to have a car stolen until my Brand new 50k M5 was stolen from B'ham airport secure long stay  Most car alarms are useless when its a car key burglary. I have a Blackjax. it lets them drive off for a few hundred yards then all hell breaks loose. Trackers are useless and only benefit your insurance premium. For around fifty quid, any GPS tracker signal can be jammed with a device freely sold on flebay When you do get your next car, PM me and i'll give you details of my blackjaxx fitter that specialises in Porsches. Even the dealers can't tell one has been fitted
