Hi fellow 911 lovers I am very close to purchasing a 2002 996 C2 Cab Manual which has covered 66k, still under Porsche warranty and has been very well cared for, could somebody put my mind at rest on a couple of questions before I come close to making a purchase decision: There is a orange/creamy residue in the the oil filler neck, is that normal or do I have an oil/water contamination issue? Should I be worried about the RMS problems? The car misted up when left for about an hour in the rain after use, it cleared after about 2 minutes with the a/c on....normal? (carpets felt dry) The clutch feels light and operates well, however after 2 attempts of making it slip in 3rd gear up a hill....it did......is that me being too aggressive or is the clutch on the way out? Any common problem signs I should look for? Thank you to anyone who can help with my paranoia !!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I have just realised that if you ask too many questions........you don't get any replies. I have found most of the answers by trawling the forum..............thank you to all of you who thought about replying
Welcome to the forum Muggers. That's a nice early Xmas present you got yourself into there! Any pics? You have the later facelift 996 so you should be alright in terms of reliability. You are correct to pick up on the RMS issue - something that has been discussed many times before on this forum. ~ Maxie
