Is my alarm system covered by my extended warranty?? It has started sounding the horn (the one that sounds when you lock and have left somethging open) all the time and occassionally when driving along it starts horning away. Occassionally car won't lock either, it does a double horn and then unlocks itself. Any ideas or shall I just leave the keys in it with some money for fuel and a big note saying nick me??? Thanks

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

IMHO get it to an OPC ASAP otherwise you risk your car being nicked and insurer not paying out. I assume it is Porsche Warranty? If not it will still need to go to an OPC I would imagine but advise both insurer and warranty co. ASAP so its on the record. You're insurer may even provide assistance??
Or drop you a note thanking you for taking the tie to contact them and confirming that until such time as you have confirmation in writing that it has been repaired you're on your own with respect to any claim you may feel the need to submit... Sorry I'm not sure about the Porsche warranty cover for the alarm system (or other related electrical glitch which may have caused this). Either way, definitely one to try and get sorted asap. Peter
