Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Advice needed fellow gen 2 owners, rear lamps have become crazed & dull like they all seem to,I would like to replace with OE type ones, anyone sourced them new at less than eye watering prices? Thanks in anticipation.

POST 2Original post

I just replaced mine with oem after 133,000 miles - the old one were shagged - cloudy - scratched and corroding inside Expensive - but worth it in the end

POST 3Original post

An option before expensive replacement could be giving the lights a polish. It might require a machine polisher to do this. Saying this without encontering the issue with rear lights, but on fronts they can usually be polished & certainly from the 981/991 cars where this is more common, it might be a result of the UV film breaking down. If on the inside then recourse might be a repair or replacement.

What about a breakers yard? Assuming the car's not been damaged on the rear!
