Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, My Camshaft adjuster solenoid seal is leaking on the drivers side of my 2000 996 Carrera. I ordered up part 996-105-223-52 and am now ready to replace it. I have searched around and not found anything on the replacement. Is it as easy as un plugging the wire harness and two bolts? Will the solenoid stay in place or will it come out? Thank You

Yes it is that easy, solenoid is bolted down below the cam cover & will not come out.
