Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

From Garmin's website for $70. Garmin: Map Updates

POST 2Original post

Have you purchased them? Have you noticed any differences in level of detail?

POST 3Original post

Purchased but not arrived as of yet. I'm hopeful that some of the more obscure NM locations may have made the real world of Garmin. I understand it takes almost two hours to upload to the 660!

POST 4Original post

Cool. I have to go get mine out the car to get the serial number. I have to make sure this is the NT version b/c I read that the non-NT version does not support traffic.

POST 5Original post

Hmm, it doesn't find any updates when I put in my serial number. I guess I need to wait.

POST 6Original post

Got my update today. It took almost 90 minutes to update my 660 but it does add a bunch of new roads and POI's and is worth the $70 to me. Here is another review: Garmin's new 2008 (v9) Maps vs. v8 Maps: is it worth upgrading? (GPS Magazine) smounic when did you buy your Garmin. I'm surprised that it has the 2008 maps already since they just came out (peppers coming at some point by the way).

POST 7Original post

I don't have the 2008 maps. I've had it for a while. I think there is some sort of glitch b/c it doesn't show any updates as being available for my serial number. I'll have to call them up tomorrow. Thanks in advance ... looking forward to them.
