Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, I'm considering buying a 996 C2 auto 2000 (X plate) but the milage of 87K is putting me off. Should I be concerned or not. What's a high milage for a 911? Asking price is 35K which looks good to me Any advice would be very welcome. Migration info. Legacy thread was 9023

POST 2Original post

You can get a low mileage 996 for £35k....so I would pass. Plus its a tip. You may want that though?! Migration info. Legacy thread was 9024

POST 3Original post

87k on a 996.... The car should do the mileage just fine. But as cars head over the 100k mark so the price takes a good leap down.(on newer things - not classics). I agree with the above comment, you can definitely buy a nice 40k 996 (tip or manual) for £35000. So it will be from 98, so what, put a plate on it. The drive is much the same, but resale will be much easier when the time comes. The price of the one you mentioned is fair, simply that I would advise going older and lower miles. Adrian Crawford. perfomance2and4.co.uk 911secrets.com Migration info. Legacy thread was 9045

POST 9Original post

35k is too steep in todays market. Why not spend an extra 2-k and get a 997? :food:

POST 10Original post

Ermmm... Look at the date on the original post :hand: (and you can get a 997 for a lot less than £37k by the way)
