Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did the silly thing by activating the headlamp washer whilst doing a large amount of mph on the M6 toll earlier. :hand: The force of the wind blew the shiney circular silver cover thing from the one on the right. Before I call Porsche and they try to sell me the entire kit, do you know if these can be bought seperately? Thanks in advance 8)

POST 2Original post

You can buy the trim cover and nozzle separately - about £25+VAT. A bit fiddly to change, but not rocket science. One of the chaps on PCGB gave the following instructions: You have to get the headlight washer jet to stand up from the headlight unit. The Porsche centre suggested getting someone to operate the washer system whilst you catch it in the extended position but I found if you were careful you could gently lever it up. Then pull the whole unit out as far as it will go, about a couple of inches, and you will see that the washer jet unit fits into a grey plastic sleeve. the washer jet just pushes into place but to get the old one out you need to lift the tab slightly where you can see the black of the jet showing through. That may sound complex but when you look at it it is fairly obvious.
