Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Now I'm no expert but I thought I'd left behind the days of delicately balancing throttle and choke etc on cold mornings when I was no longer driving my Grans Escort Mk2! I spark up my 2001 C4S from cold and its lumpy as anything, misfiring, fills the air with a thick taste of petrol, then stalls. This doesnt sound like normal behaviour to me. Bit of throttle and it goes fine, but the starting is awful. Pointers for investigation please? Steve

POST 2Original post

Common problem. MAF or coil pack. Most likely to be the MAF.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
