Firstly, my fellow 911uk'ers, a very merry xmas to you all !! I bought my car from an opc earlier this year and have recently established that it has a few aftermarket (Techart) stuff on it, including various suspension and transmission bits. I also have invoices showing that the supplying opc fitted this techart stuff themselves. I was never told about this when purchasing and had no reason to believe the car was anything bar 100% stock. In the event that under the new wtee scheme, the supplying opc refuses to supply unless the car is put back to stock parts, would you say I have a case against them to contribute heavily towards the cost of doing that ?? When you pay dealer prices for an opc car, its fair to assume you are buying it as the factory intended, and indeed I'm fairly sure the prep process is meant to return the car back to stock status. Any views on how I should approach opc about this :?:

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Tell them to stop f*ing about, seriously! That's very naughty of the OPC and you definitely have a case. Firstly, the OPC should have returned the car to stock before selling you the car, *they have to do that*. Secondly, if they fitted the kit and you have the invoices, I suggest that you phone the original salesman, explain the problem and he will sort it out. Keep it within the OPC and they will sort it out, without removal of the equipment.
Thanks GD - I agree, it would be rather underhand of the dealer imo to make this a sticking point, and I will make a heck of a fuss if they mess me around as paying top dollar from opc's should mean you shouldnt have to deal with this kind of issue. At the same time I wonder how many tt's and GT2's are being sold without being returned back to stock by the opc's... at a recent dyno day, a ph'er with a gt2 bought from an opc in guildford (supposedly stock) delivered a definitely non-stock result !! Arguing with an opc that you didnt map the car, but bought it from them like that, were it to come out over a wtee job for instance, could be interesting to say the least...
