My switchable sports exhaust when switching to sports mode often doesn't work. Does anybody have experience of this? When I switch engine off and back on again it goes back to default of sports mode but then when I switch switch normal mode, I have to press button lots of times before it eventually goes back to sports mode; any ideas? Re: SWITCHABLE SPORTS EXHAUST STICKING Sounds like a faulty vacuum actuator, it's not releasing the vacuum so keeping the cans in quiet mode. It should be covered by warranty, if not it's not a very expensive part. It's the orangy/brown block to the right of the throttle body.
hi - just making sure you know it switches off automatically between 25-45mph? - Simon
...which you can easily have disabled to allow bus queues etc to enjoy the full majesty of a virtually unsilenced 3.6 flat six :santa:
SWITCHABLE SPORTS EXHAUST Thanks for that. Yes I am aware that it turns off between 25-45mph. The only doubt I have about the vac actuator is that it works fine when you switch ignition off??
is it a case of the switch light isn't going off (indicating the "off" part of the switch is going)? If that's the case then it could be as simple as a dirty switch contact.
would some one PM me to inform how this is done. thanks in advance. :thumb:
Sounds good; How do you disable the 25-45mph interlock?
