Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi Guys. Well wife thinks I am going bonkers, but I feel more and more the urge to shop for a body kit to add that extra "killer croc look" I think there are quite respectuful stuff out there now, and while I woulndt want the extremes, more and more I like the "racing" pose that some of these kits are offering. Some of you of course think it too ricey, but others may actually like these. Without being an expert on neither subjects, I would like to narrow my choices aided by the opinion from those who like these mods and are more experts of the subject. Of course many will reply: "I like my croc the way it is", "too ricey", while I would perfectly respect/share your opinion at certain point, I really like to get down to business, as I am convinced I will do it After looking around, I have come across 3 tuners that I think have done a good job with the Cayman S. 1) www.techart.de 2) www.strosek.de 3) www.rinspeed.com If you ask me what my choices are far for my "new Cayman S" project, here is the list: 1) Rinspeed frontbumper 2) Techart sideskirts 3) Stresek wing carbon 4) plus, the Strosek Roof spoiler 5) gunmetal painted stock 18's Ayone else willing to share their choices, please post. Thanks ! COCOLOCO PD: Nice site Ken ! Lov the speed!

POST 2Original post

Rinspeed Imola is my favorite. I like the GT from Techart, the GT Sport is great if you dont mind the huge wing on the back. Not a fan of the stroseks. Love the gunmetal rims on the guardsred or white or black. What color is your cayman? The only thing I like about the Stroseks are the retractable/heated side mirrors. I wish Porsche made the mirrors retraction standard or at least an option.

POST 3Original post

Mine is seal grey....I also find the Techart wing too much, that why I think the Strosek does a better job. As to the wheels, I want to keep 18s and paint them "gunmetal" to resemble the techies. I wonder how to get the color code or the right paint No.

POST 4Original post

Gunmetal would look real nice on your seal grey.

POST 5Original post

The Rinspeed checkers on the red car, IMHO, is horrible. Whats next? Some racing stripes? No opinion on the other kits. Since Porsche has kits for the Boxster and 997, won't they have one soon for the CS?

POST 6Original post

My vote is "none of the above". Your wife is right on this one. You pay money to add plastic bits that lower the value of your Cayman and always seem to have a shorter life span than the car and possibly negatively impact its performance.

POST 8Original post

i got a seal grey cayman too and i have the 19" carrera sport wheels on it which are also grey. they're in perfect condition and im selling them if ur interested
