Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Firstly, apologies in advance for another IMS thread... I've found, from the details on my Certificate of Authenticity, that the engine in my Boxster is a M96/26. Apparently the '26' designation relates to it being a 2006 model year, even though the manufacture date was May 2005 & registration date was June 2005. I know that there is no definative answer to which bearing each of the M96 engines have in them, but what are the chances that mine has the larger, more reliable bearing (that can't be swapped out without splitting the crankcase)?? Answers on a postcard....

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
