Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi everyone, just traded in my 2009 cayman for a 2011 911. Picking up today. Will miss Cayman for sure. Had a chance to race the Cayman R and a variety of 911s at the Porsche World Tour in NY and was completely floored by the 911. Anyway, will post pics today. Here is the option list! Exterior: Arctic Silver Metallic Interior: Black Standard Leather Transmission: 7-speed PDK Heated Seats Seat Ventilation Power Comfort Seats with Driver Memory Sport Chrono Package Plus Navigation Module for PCM BOSE High End Sound Package XM Radio 7-speed PDK Self Dimming Mirrors 19" Sport Design Wheel Wheel Caps with Colored Crest Heated Steering Wheel

Congrats! a 911 was, is and always will be, totally awesome! BTW, because of its success, we have a 987!!!

POST 3Original post

well said and I will miss the Cayman. Believe it or not, the backseat was a major selling point on the 911. Cabin feels much bigger. Both cars have major attributes but now I get a sunroof LOL . Will post pics soon

POST 4Original post

Is it a daily driver? When I had the chance to drive CS and Carreras back to back, including an 07TT, I opted for the CS for me the best combination as a DD. I was comparing new 08 CS to 08 Carrera, 09 Carrera (new at the time) and 07 TT with 3,000 miles on it. If it was not a DD I probably would have gone with the TT.

POST 5Original post

Yup DD. I have the luxury of working from home if the weather is bad so she wont really be driven in bad weather. Also, have wifes MB car as a back-up. Funny thing is that I had a range rover and even then, I never drove in bad weather. So, felt that the 911 was the best fit. Even though they are partially useless, like having back seats. I also like the heavier feel.

POST 6Original post

I for one will enjoy hearing of the differences, pros and cons, etc. for both cars. I couldn't imagine sitting in one of those back seats! They look very upright. Have you tried or is this strickly for cargo?

POST 7Original post

Cargo and small people :hilarious: Will post differences soon.
