Just getting around to changing out a cigarette lighter. Instructions offered previously greatly appreciated but I'm "stuck". Can't figure out how to remove bad socket. I know there's some simple method, but I'm just not seeing it. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here is a link that provides some tips. Don't get scared by what you read...it is not that difficult. I changed out mine not too long ago because the lighted ring around the socket blew out. It took me only about 15 minutes to swap it out. http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=1218&hl=Cigarette+lighter
