Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, Anyone come across/have any views of Inox sports cell cats? Cheers, Taran :?:

POST 2Original post

Now you are in my territory of expertise. Inox is just a name put on someone elses cats. The actual bullets are 200 cell Magnaflow catalysts (VERY good) Part number for the bullet is 59956 see www.magnaflow.com

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Good stuff Lloyd, Do these make much difference to the sound and/or performance? One of my cats has gone and needs replacing...so thought i might see what else is out there... Taran :?:

POST 4Original post

Its a tough question to be honest. On an N/A car I would say you would lose BHP but on a turbo model there would be a decent increase. Normally asperated cars rely on back pressure, if you lower this it has an impact on the compression and usually results in negative results.. BUT if the car gets re-mapped and tuned to the higher flowing exhausts thats a different story

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for that Lloyd. Well, if they reduce the power, then that's a no-no for me. There is a set up on ebay at the moment that just caught my eye.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=220367724092 So if you remove the Cats altogether, this reduces the power on a NA car without a re-map? Is the re-map realtively easy/inexpensive? Taran :?:

POST 6Original post

In my opinion I would keep clear of mods that increase the peformance, exhaust is about the only peformance mod i'd do for increased noise. The engine as you know has a few known time-bomb type issues like cylinder liners, RMS etc so to increase BHP on the 3.4 is not advised... it will only make you paranoid at the slightest knock or tap! Ebay or salvage is your best bet to find some 2nd-hand OEM units. I saw a pair of mint cats for a C2 taken off a car from new as they turned it into a track car... they went for £90 the pair!!!!

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Doh! :frustrated: Do tell if you come across anymore! Totally agree about modding on these cars, not a thing i'd be doing. Taran :thumb:
