Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

If you are fortunate  enough not to have PCM in you 996 you'll be pleased to know I have discovered a nifty place to stick your Garmin mount. If, like me, you are adverse to sticking the thing on the windscreen and prefer a more stealth approach then the underside of the cubby hole works a treat! I used to have the self adhesive "disc" that came with the mount stuck to the side of the centre console but soon enough that lost it's sticky and in variably got in the way of passengers' knee's.....not ideal.... anyway this is a tight fit but doable and the nav ends up in a great out of the way place, albeit ever so slightly obscured in 3rd gear. on the subject of windscreen mounts, is it me? or are there many many idiots out there who seem to have these things slap bang in the middle of their windscreens come rain or shine! Usually at night, in full daylight brightness mode, how on earth these people don't have accidents amazes me!!

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
