There is no way that left the factory like that, you don’t even need the pointers to see the issue, something else going on.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I remember some early 981 Boxsters having this misaligned sill issue on delivery and it was fixed under warranty .

Shame as I quick liked it before spotting this. If your not 100% sure just move on as there will be another one for you :-)
This is on a few years old car with what looks to be original panels, paint and factory seam sealant. Nearside trailing edge of front wheel arch does not align with the end of the sill. Door gap gets wider lower down. Offside does not exhibit this. Surely this is outside of factory spec. Anyone else aware of misaligned wings and panels on cars coming out of the factory? Theres a lot of adjustment on the panels to get them exactly right, perhaps its had a new wing? Wings were being cut open to steal headlights, or perhaps its had a bump? I dont think it would have passed factory QC like that.
I had a 718 where the wings were both advanced from the cill from factory
