Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 99 C2 that needs shocks all around. The originals were HD shocks. I purchased front HD shocks but cannot find any for the rear, all are back ordered. Can I mix HD in front and Sport in the rear? Is there any difference other than a slower recovery rate for the Sport?

POST 2Original post

From what I have read, the only difference between the sport shocks and the HD is length. There are actually three - B4 (standard), B6 (Heavy-duty) and B8 (Sport). The B8 is intended for cars that are lowered. If you put lowered springs on an HD shock, there might be a gap in the springs when the car is on the lift. Again, this is what I found doing the research. I have B8 shocks with normal springs from the PO, which isn't what I would do but it works fine.
