In summary, he's an idiot. In more words: 1) the Speciale is an investment that appreciates in value. The GT3 drops in value. 2) I'd choose the GT3 RS over the Speciale but not the GT3. 3) The GT3 is not even close to the Speciale performance on the street or track. 4) oh yeah.. He's an idiot.

Assuming the video is not an elaborate April Fools' joke (it was posted April 1), I fail to see how the guy is an idiot. He claims the GT3 is as fun to drive on the street as the Speciale and his dealer bought his Speciale back for more than what he paid for it. Sounds like a pretty easy decision if he wasn't completely in love with the Ferrari. He probably could have made a little more by holding on to the car but considering the video was filmed from inside an F12, I seriously doubt money is a problem. It's not like he traded the Speciale for the GT3. He had both at the same time and decided to get rid of one.

I am not sure why you would call someone an idiot who made a decision for himself what to do with his money. His arguments for the GT3 (e.g. 'sounds better than the Speciale') sound reasonable and even if not they only have to be true for himself and not society. I too would choose the GT3 over the Ferrari.
With all respect gentlemen, opinions here at this forum may be a bit biased for its a Porsche forum after all. Loving both brands, and knowing the capabilities of both cars, the GT3 loses against the Speciale. He didn't choose the GT3 because it's a better car. He mentioned, he did because he got a good deal for the Speciale... That I understand. So it's about money. That's clear. Now when he went on justifying his decision that the GT3 is a better car, that's where he lost his credibility. If this was a Ferrari Forum, I'm sure members would agree with me and I wouldn't need to clarify my opinion especially among those who own both brands.
Mr JWW on YouTube is in fact a total idiot, and he reaffirms it 24/7. He is one of several new YouTube bloggers who bought a supercar and product loads of brain dead content utilizing the car as click bait. Apparently you can make good money this way. Oh and by the way shmee and all of his YouTube buddies suck.
