Today I contacted PEC - Atlanta to find out when they would have the 991.2 to drive. For this forum, I also found out that they have new models offered to take on their track. A 981 Spyder and a 991.1 GTS. Way cool. 991.2s arrived today and are available to drive tomorrow. They have the S and the 4S. I am booking the 991.2S in late June and will report back with details. I'm looking forward to the low end torque and listening to the crappy sound. As a reminder, the configurator also lists PEC - Atlanta now as a delivery experience. I know people who have selected that option. I will share their experience when they report back.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Nice. Are you also driving the base Carrera? Would llike to know if the lower boost flat six feels more like a naturally aspirated engine. Check out what Harry says. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yNY8avAi54
When the PEC opens up in Los Angeles, I hope they list that as a delivery experience as well. Would be nice to take delivery of my next Porsche(in 10 years?) at their track!
Exactly! I actually wanted to drive the base and asked for this model at PEC. They don't have it even with the 991.1/981. They want you to buy the S. I watched this video several times and he obviously wants to drive the Base too. For a daily driver on the streets, the 991.2. base is way fast enough. For a track car (and few 911 guys track their cars), then maybe the S. Let's face it. The S has much less appeal to me now with the 991.2. It's the same displacement engine with just more turbo boost (boo!). However, you also get PTV standard, bigger front brakes (but the standard brakes are awesome anyway) and the ability to get more options. For my build between the S and the Base (which I optioned with the bigger wheels), its a 12,200 difference for these options. Not worth it to me for slightly more acceleration. I wont notice any of these options.
IMO... I agree that the percentage of 911 owners never track their cars... But, they can -- very often at least -- afford the "image" and "latent" power. I offer the following: How many 911 Turbo or 911 Turbo S cars ever track their cars (and even if they tried, would they get anywhere close to that "latent" power -- without widowing their wife??) Yet, people buy these beautiful, exotic and potent cars!! So, I think PAG will do just fine selling a large percentage of 991.2 S-versions. And why not, the margin on the S cars is just that much more than the base 991s.. that's my opinion..:gossip:
