Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

POST 3Original post

Snap! Well, almost... black 3.6L C2 :thumb: And officially welcome to the madhouse

POST 4Original post

very nice, if I was a coupe man thats the type I'd have.

POST 5Original post

Very nice. Perhaps Stuart will do a wheel swap with you, I think he has the ones you are after :welcome:

POST 6Original post

Or you could make Jibberingloon an offer for his originals http://www.911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=42341 Just remember that going for aftermarket wheels will mean no warranty renewal now :x

POST 7Original post

Welcome to the forum Rich996! Good car there - is that the full Alu pack you have in there? Quite a rare option - many customers specced their 996s with the small alu-pack like in mine. ~ Maxie :thumb:

POST 8Original post

.....v nice but it's a tad clean and shiney

POST 9Original post

Very nice love the carrera wheels - but facelift lights, but no glove box and bonnet opener handles :? Is there a story?

POST 12Original post

Ahhh, is this a pre-facelift car made to look like a post-facelift? Aside from the other comments just made I have noticed the digital speedo to be in the rev-counter suggesting it's a 3.4L. Still, a nice looking car. ~ Maxie

POST 13Original post

That car is virtually identical to mine, a 3.4 face-lifted in Basalt with Black leather. Only difference, I have no Silver on my dash, GT3 wheels and big GT3 RS tails... I've yet to update my rear bumper but have been offered a nice GT3 RS rear bumper.

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wow what a response! Spec of the car is as follows: 1998 C2 3.4 in Basalt black / 72k FPSH HID Xenon Litronics + clear rears UNKNOWN front and back bumper (although they could be standard but I have been told they are the new type??? Help me out!) UNKNOWN Side skirts (help me out) Porsche Sports Exhaust Full black extended leather FULL artic interior pack Silver dials Ali 'carrera' sills Ali porsche handbrake and short shift tequipment gear knob Kenwood 7" touch screen with DVD, Bluetooth, Amp in boot and rear stealth sub in parcel shelf NO glovebox?? There is a boot manual unlocking handle tho (cant see in pics) Brakes have yellow stuff pads and ATE super racing blue fluid + goodridge stainless hoses (getting ready for Oulton Park!) So yes, an old car but someone has spent a small fortune on making it 'appear' newer - not me as I bought the car like this, I am looking for some new wheels though, any ideas/pics? On a slightly different note, I have two GT3 mark2 rear spoilers on order from overseas - one for me and one to re-sell - I will offer this for sale on here as soon as I get it and it will be cheaper than the £995 which is the cheapest I can find in UK, think thats from design911 or porscheshop, one or the other anyway

POST 15Original post

I don't think it will have facelift front wings from the factory - someone has replaced them usually only economical after a shunt. Though I know alot of people think about upgrading the look its seledom makes sense to do - for the cost of the parts you can get a real facelift Do you have the sticker under the bonnet - I am wondering if you have a replacement bonnet also?
