Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

9 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 2Original post

thanks for posting. great video. funny how all manufacturers are teasing their own mules now.

POST 3Original post

Don't think I care to own a sports car w/ a 4" longer wheelbase designed to accomodate a drivetrain that I will never consider choosing that won't even be available for another 4 years. However, thanks for the posting Interpol.

POST 4Original post

Full length sunroof? Does it mean the end of the Targa? Will it trickle down to the 981 and will we see a Cayman with a full sunroof? I hate waiting!

POST 5Original post

Ah c'mon Dave it's known as der funkintruckin! sooner or later the 911 becomes the size of a Maybach... :hilarious:

POST 6Original post

My source at Porsche says there is still one *big* surprise about the 991 which won't be revealed until the unveiling.

POST 7Original post

Ok guys admit it....how many of you hit the "pause" button a few dozen times during that video to get a better look

POST 8Original post

Interesting. Exterior doesnt look too different. Not sure how much you can tell from performance with an additional 5 horses, especially with PDK cars with launch control (like mine). Not sold on the interior. Will have to get use to it.

POST 9Original post

A "pseudo-mid engine" 911 makes very little sense except from a marketing POV where the goal is to squeeze as many dollars as possible out of the 911 shape. At some point the correct answer is to retire the 911 rather than attempt to bastardize the concept into something it was never intended to be. I don't think it would have occured to Porsche in 1966 to drop a 912/911 body on a 904/906 chasis. As far as something "big" still undisclosed about the 991 there are rumors of a re-introduction of the traditional roll bar Targa and a fabric covered hardtop for the Cab.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
