Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Any ideas on how to sort out creaky/squeaky dashboard pod by the driver's A-pilar? Being a cabrio, I guess it is prone to a bit of noise but it is getting annoying...any help or advice welcome!!

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Low level, rubbing creaks, heard at most "normal" speeds, even when crawling in traffic. My passengers notice it. I mentioned it to the garage and they are going to have a look to see where it's coming from. I was almost tempted to squirt WD40 in all the joins but resisted!!

POST 4Original post

there is a whole host of fixes for dash noises on 996 and also some for the windscreen creaking... will have a look for them
