Boxes arrived this morning from Autodoc (Germany) no additional charges (customs \ Import etc) ordered beginning of the month so 15 - 16 days so not too bad. Just need some warmer weather now, so I can get on with fitting the goodies.

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

The no duty bit is good!! I was wondering what the script was when ordering from Germany.
As a matter of interest, what make coffin arms did you go for? My pal is holding back an order for merc parts as no one can tell him if there is duty or additional charges so your post will please him.
Can you let us know if a bill for import/export arrives at a later date or is it always the case that it arrives with the goods?
Look like STARK if you zoom in on the picture.
Just looked up Stark control arms on Autodoc, that's a very keen price! Plus 3 year warranty which beats Meyle control arms at £105 and 2 year warranty.
Will do. All very confusing if you read the government website. Looks like any additional charge is paid before you take delivery. I bought a watch once from the USA, customs held it and I had to go and pay before I could have the watch. I asked how much I had to pay, watch was £1000 (ish) in 1999, the chap said there is a very complicated calculation but the maximum on a single watch was £0.50 + VAT.
I spoke to Gert at Carnewal, all prices shown are export, ex VAT. VAT and import tax to be paid in the UK. How and who comes after you for this I don't know.
I paid VAT on the order at 20%, so I could reclaim that and then repay it :dont know:
I bought Brembo rear discs for my Mercedes S63 AMG Coupe from Autodoc delivered in January. As you said Vat is payable on the order. No one will chase you up for anything extra. It would have been done before you received the order. They are not daft, delivering an order then chasing someone for tax. Few years ago I bought my wife a Rolex from USA & was contacted by the revenue asking for the tax before they would release it for delivery.
