I just removed a rear shock from my 1999 996 C4 and found it has a spring with a Green/Red/White color combination on it. Can anyone point me to a chart that can decipher what I have? I removed the shock above to replace with another set of shocks I got off ebay until I figure out what exactly I want to do with this car. (i.e coil-overs, etc ) The shocks I purchased were off a 2001 996 C4 with 50k and a spring color code of Red/Green/Red (at least that is what it looks like to me from the picture, I am slightly color blind ) Thanks for your help!

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I don't know about a chart, but the parts listings at auto atlanta list the color codes on the springs if you dig around. http://www.autoatlanta.com/porsche-p...section=502-00

Thanks for the reply. This helps. Looks like at least both the old and new parts have the same part number. I'm hoping to find more information on the color codes and the spring rates.
