Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I see a lot of posts about certain CEL's being related to bad caps. I think mine is bad for the simple reason that I no longer hear pressure escaping when the cap is removed. And yes, I have a related CEL. Question: What cap is a good replacement? Just a generic cap from any auto parts store? Surely I don't have to order an OEM cap. Any help is appreciated!

An OEM gas cap is only $10 http://www.e-partssales.com/miva/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=99620124103and99950749940&Category_Code=airandfuel

Unless you opt for the genuine aluminum look silver painted one for ~ $150!
