Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Morning guys…. so after a great week at the Nurburgring, back in the UK less than a week and some complete a**hole sideswipes my car and drives off! Got the reg and reported to the police etc but nothing will come from it and unfortunately no witnesses. I’m not sure if I will go through my insurance yet, I’m waiting for the liability team to get in-touch with the other cars insurers. I’m looking at options of quotes for getting the work done myself so in the meantime, could someone advise please, are gen 1 and gen 2 doors the same? There’s a few on eBay listed as 997, 911, Boxster and Cayman however the model year of what they fit isn’t included. Thanks for your input guys

I recommend getting the official PET for your model and also getting ones for possible donor cars. You can then see the part numbers to find which parts are interchangeable. You should be able to find these catalogs on Porsche's web site. Also your cat's PET will serve as a great resource for identifying other parts needed now and in the future.

POST 3Original post

I can post the 987.2 Cayman PET catalog if you can't find one. I don't know if there's a difference for RHD.

POST 4Original post

Yes please, that would be helpful! I’ve found one with a part number of 997 531 012 04 Hopefully that will fit!

POST 5Original post

Yes, that fits a 987.2 (right door). Here is the catalog for 2009-12 Cayman.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
