17k for an 02 car looks ok to me, I would not worry unduly about the miles if you are after a second car how many are you likely to add on that? If like me around 3-4k per year
I would be a weekend car only for him. So i'm guessing around the 3-4k also.
I bought an 03 996 last year with a slightly higher mileage than this- and havent looked back since! I had it inspected by Peter Morgan's guy and he reackoned it drove like a 40,000 miler- so i guess its down in part to WHERE the milkes have been done- if its all motorway stuff then maybe its less of an issue. I wouldnt let the milage put you off especially if you value the improvements in the facelift- but get it inspected. I paid very slightly more than this one from a dealer, so the price is probably reasonable given mileage.
