Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, Richard can you please let me know where the oil pressure sender for the oil pressure gauge is located on the engine block, is it easy to get at and install a new one. I have looked on PET and cant find it, its an age thing or is it my eyes are on the blink! The gauge seems to be a little erratic, I have this problem both on my 911SC & 993 and a new sender unit sorted the problem with ease.[ ]

POST 2Original post

It is on the top of the right hand cylinder head, about half way back in the engine compartment, pointing vertically upwards. Look for the convoluted tube, and you should find it tucked underneath. It's very tight in there, but do-able. On the PET, you will find it on illustration 103-00, item 32. Part number 996.606.203.02 @ £37.79 +VAT.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Richard, Thanks very much, will get it done at the next service at the end of this month. Brad
