New to the forum, not a Porsche owner... yet. Just thought I'd say hi. I've been a long-time BMW E36 fan owning everything from a 316 to a couple of M3s, and the most recent "interesting" one, a Touring which I built as far as I could to M3 spec. CLICKY for pics if anyone is interested. I did all the spannering myself and was rather pleased with the result ! Anyway, this "credit crunch" thing seems to have hit the 996 pretty hard and moved them from definitely out of reach, to very almost in reach. I reckon some concerted saving up will put me in a position to buy towards the end of this year. I'm ready to move up a level from those BMWs So I'll be lurking a bit and maybe asking the odd question here & there. Is there any reason why I shouldn't aim for a C4 with Aero Kit and black sports interior ? I'll admit that I'll be looking at the lower end of the price scale, don't flame me for it, that's just the way it is. I'm capable of doing most work myself but obviously need to get the stamps in the book come service time. Pretty much anything else I'd DIY. Cheers, Steve.
