Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys I currently have a Boxster which I adore, i am about to get a 996, as well as the Boxster, what is the difference between an s and a non s? also any tips?

POST 2Original post

The 'Carrera S' came in 997 form. In 996 guise it was just C4S, Carrera, or Carrera 4 (and the Anniversary models, turbo, Gt3 and GT2) Sometimes in ads you will see a car advertised as Carrera Tip S, leading you to believe it's an 'S'. Have a look at our buyer's guide for what to look for in terms of faults http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=260109 And for the different models and variants guide here:- http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=254973 Good luck!

POST 3Original post

Im pretty sure there is no Carrera S in the 996. The 'S' models in the 997 have the 3.8 engine as opposed to the 3.6 Rodney beat me to it
